April Class Project 2

Hi everyone, sharing another project from April's card class.

This card uses the Playing in the Rain stamp set and dies and the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper.

This card is a CASE from a card by Inge Groot. You can see Inge's card here.  I was looking for some inspiration to use the Playing in the Rain stamp set and dies and came across Inge's card which uses other products, but I loved the layout so just had to give it a try.  I am happy with the finished card and the ladies at card class really enjoyed making this one.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

April Class Project 1

Hi everyone, sharing one of the cards from April's Card Class.

I have used the Bright & Beautiful 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, Wanted to Say Dies and Stylish Shapes Dies for this card.

This design is great for using Designer Series Paper.  I cut 8 sheets (2 of each pattern) of the 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper into 5.1cm x 5.1cm (2" x 2") squares and then die cut the circles from these using the 2nd smallest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies.

These were then matted onto matching cardstock circles, die cut using the 3rd smallest circle die from the Sylish Shapes Dies.  The matted circles were then adhered to a Basic White card base.  I adhered some of these circles so they were overhanging the edge.  I trimmed these flush with the edge of the card.

Some Silver Trim was added, along with the die cut stars and "Happy Birthday" to finish the card front.  For the card inside I die cut 3 of the presents from the matching cardstock and made a little pop-up mechanism for each present so that when you open the card the presents pop-up.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Another Anything Goes Class Project

Hi everyone, sharing another of the projects that the ladies made at my recent 'Anything Goes Class'.

This project uses the Blackberry Bliss Designer Series Paper from the Neutrals 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment.

I cut the Designer Series Paper into 3.8cm x 14.85cm strips, which made 4 of these cards from the one sheet of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.  You will get 8 cards if you use the 2 sheets in the paper pack.

The small Fresh Freesia strip was cut a 0.6cm x 14.85cm and the embossed Basic White piece was cut at 6cm x 14.85cm.  These were all layered onto a Basic White Thick cardstock base.

The stamp set I used is Petal Park.  I love the coordinator punch that goes with the stamp set, it makes stamping and punching the flowers so easy.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Thank you for visiting.

Stash Busting Saturday - Gold Celebration Speciality12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, it is time for another 'Stash Busting' show and tell.

I have spent the last 2 days crafting with some friends and nearly forgot to post today's 'Stash Buster'.

I have had the Gold Celebration Speciality 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper in my stash for nearly 10 months, it was one of those paper packs that I forgot I had.  Perfect for a 'Stash Buster'.

There are 3 sheets of Gold printed Acetate in the pack and I made 28 cards using the 3 sheets.  The dies I used are the Wanted to Say Dies.

I made 12 of these cards.  I cut the width of the card at 10cm instead of the normal 10.5cm, that way I was able to cut the 12 pieces of the Gold Celebration Specialty Designer Series Paper form the one sheet.

This card is a mini slimline which measures 15.2cm x 7.6cm.  I made 8 of these cards, cutting the Specialty Paper at 7.1cm x 14.6cm.

This is another mini slimline card which measures 15.2cm x 7.6cm, it is in the landscape mode instead of portrait.  I made 8 of these cards cutting the Specialty Paper at 7.1cm x 14.6cm.

I hope you enjoyed this week's 'Stash Buster' cards.

Anything Goes Class Project

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects that the ladies made at my 'Anything Goes Class' held last Sunday.

I used the Cut and Shuffle technique for these cards.  I cut 4 strips of patterned paper from the Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper Pack into 11.8cm x 30.5cm strips.  I then cut these strips into 7.5cm x 11.8cm pieces.  These were then cut into a strip 4.1cm x 11.8cm & the other strip is 3.4cm x 7.5cm.  These two strips were then cut at 5.1cm, this leaves the balance of the strip being 6.7cm.  So you will have four pieces measuring 4.1cm x 6.7cm, 4.1cm x 5.1cm, 3.4cm x 6.7cm and 3.4cm x 5.1cm after all this cutting.

You just need to shuffle the Designer Series Paper around so you have 4 of each combination, 16 cards in all.  These pieces were adhered to a Basic Black cardstock mat cut at 8.5cm x 12.8cm and this was then adhered to the Crushed Curry card base.

The flag end banner across the card was die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies.  This die cut was cut in half so it could be stretched across the card. The gap in the middle is covered up by the sentiment panel.

The sentiment panel was die cut using the Nested Essential Dies.  I have used the Legendary Ride and matching dies to create my sentiment and focal point.  Adhere this piece to the card front using dimensionals and add some Brushed Metallic Dots to finish the card.

I hope you enjoyed this project.

Stash Busting Saturday - Neutrals 6" x 6" Paper Assortment

Hi everyone, it is time for another 'Stash Busting' show and tell.

For this week's Stash Buster I have selected the Basic Gray patterned paper from the Neutrals 6" X 6" Paper Assortment.  I cut the 4 pieces of patterned paper into strips 3.8cm x 14.85cm.  You will get 16 cards from the 4 pieces of patterned paper.

A Real Red and a Basic Black piece of cardstock cut at 0.6cm x 14.85cm were added alongside the piece of Basic Gray patterned paper.  This just added a little more pop of colour to match the Rose.

Some Irridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels were added for a little bling.

The stamp set and dies I used is Stippled Roses.  I was pleased to see that this stamp set and dies are carring over into the 2024/2025 Annual Catalogue.

I hope you enjoyed this week's 'Stash Buster".

Turtle Fun - 6" x 6" One Sheet Wonder

Hi everyone, sharing 3 cards I made from one sheet of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

I wanted to use the Neutrals 6" x 6" Paper Assortment and decided to use a sheet of the Pecan Pie pattern paper.  The stamp set and die set of my choice was Playing in the Rain as I wanted to use the little Turtle on my cards.

Next decision was what colour to make my Turtles?  Some research was done as I really had no idea what colour Turtles were. Well, they come in all colours, so I decided to colour my little Turtles using Pecan Pie and Crushed Curry Stampin' Blends to match the pattern paper.  A touch of Bubble Bath was added on the flowers.

I kept the embellishments the same, using the Nested Essential Dies for the stitched rectangle and the Stylish Shapes Dies for the sentiment circle.  Some Gold Brushed Metallic Dots and a Basic White Bakers Twine bow were added to finish the cards.

These are the 3 cards I made.

Card 1

For this card I cut one of the pieces of 3 1/2" x 3" pattern paper on the long edge into 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1 1/4" strips.  These were adhered on top of a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock 2 3/4" x 4 3/8" that had been adhered to a Basic White cardbase.

Card 2

For this card I used the 6" x 2 1/2" piece of patterned paper.  There will be a small overhand, so just trim this off.  The Crushed Currey cardstock strip was 3/8" wide.

Card 3

For this card I embossed a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock and adhere this to the card front on an angle.  The other piece of 3 1/2" x 3" piece of patterned paper was adhered on top of this, also on an angle.  The embellishment Turtle piece was adhered on top of this.

Cutting Guide

This is the cutting guide for the 6" X 6" piece of patterned paper.
I hope you enjoyed these 3 cards.
