Celebrate!

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you my card I have made for this week's challenge at Retro Sketches.

My card has some more sneak peaks from the Occasions Catalogue being launched on 2 January 2015.  I have used one of the die cuts from the 'Artisan Embellishment Kit' along with the 'Butterfly Basics' stamps set, 'Butterflies' Thinlits dies and White Jute Ribbon.  The sentiment is from the 'And Many More' stamp set that is available in the current Annual Catalogue.

You're My Anchor

Hi everyone, hope you had a great Christmas Day.  I certainly did with catching up with my family and friends.  A good laugh and catch up along with great food and company makes for a great day.

This is a card that I made for the Mojo Monday Challenge a couple of weeks ago but did not get around to posting it.  So I thought that I would still share it with you as it is a great sneak peak at some of the products in the new Occasions Catalogue due for release on 2 January, 2015.

I have used the stamp set "Guy Greetings" which is a really cool set with lots of images and sentiments for that special male person or people in our lives.  The DSP is from the "Adventure Bound" Designer Series Paper Stack which has some great new style papers in it.   Did you notice the new White Jute Ribbon, this is also in the new Occasions Catalogue.

Butterflies ...

Merry Christmas everyone.

The pressies are wrapped, food done and we are now waiting for Santa, he should be half way across Australia by now.  So to fill in a bit of time I made my card for the Mojo Monday Challenge this week.
For my card I have used some of the new products in the Occasions Catalogue due for release on 2 January, 2015.  The stamp set is "Butterfly Basics" with the matching "Butterflies" Thinlits. I have also used some of the Blushing Bride Rosette Trim in the Artisan Embellishment Kit along with some Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim and DSP from the "Something Borrowed" paper pack.

Happy Wonderful Christmas

Hi everyone, I would like to share my card that I have made for the Paper Craft Crew Challenge this week.

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch 122 for week starting Dec. 16, 2014. #papercraftcrew #stampinup #cardsketch #papercrafts

I recently saw a card posted by Ann Schach where multiple mat layers were used.  I loved the effect so have incorporated this into my card for the PCCCS122 challenge.  I have used the 'Wondrous Wreath' stamp set on my card and the DSP is from 'Under the Tree' Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  Colour scheme of Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Kraft and Gold.

Bokeh Blue

The challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts is a colour challenge:
12-11

These colours are so out of my comfort zone.  I had a few false starts in creating my card and then remembered a technique that I wanted to try 'Bokeh, so I gave it a go.  I love the out of focus finish to the card and I have added some Bermuda Bay Taffeta ribbon and a 'Something Borrowed' embellishment from the new Occasions Catalogue which is due for release in January 2015.

The stamp set that I have used, 'Big Day', is a sneak peak on one of the great stamp sets that you can get for free when you spend $90 or more during the months of January to March 2015.

A Little Triangle Box for Christmas Goodies

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you a little triangle box perfect for some Christmas Goodies.

Take half a piece of A4 cardstock (this should be an A5 size, 21cm x 14.8cm) and score in half on the 21cm side at 10.5cm.  On the 14.8cm edge put a small pencil mark at 7.4cm (this is the middle point), do this to the top and bottom.  Score from this 7.4cm pencil mark to the 10.5cm score line point on the edge of the 21cm side, it should be on the diagonal.  Crease all fold lines and fold into a triangle shape.  Punch a hole in the middle of each side of the smallest triangles, the holes should be on either side of the back opening.  Thread ribbon thought the hole, put your goodies in and tie the ribbon into a bow to close.  Hopefully this makes sense.

The stars have been created by using the Bright & Beautiful stamp set and coordinating dies, Gold Encore ink, Brushed Gold cardstock, Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  The 'Merry Christmas' is from the Petite Pairs stamp set, finished off with a gold button and the Gold Metallic Bakers twine.  I used the "Under the Tree" Specialty DSP as it is a cardstock weight kraft sheet with colour print perfect for boxes and Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon on these cute little boxes.
