Just Add 'Thank You'

It has been awhile since I played along with the challenge at Just Add Ink.  The challenge this week is Just Add 'Thank You'.  I cased the silver embossed butterfly idea from StampTV.  I designed my card around them as I just love the silver embossed on black.

For my card I have used the stamp sets 'Butterfly Basics', 'Everything Eleanor' and 'Crazy About You'.  The butterflies from the 'Butterfly Basics' stamp set have been embossed with Silver and then cut out using the coordinating 'Butterflies' Thinlits Dies.

The DSP is from the Neutrals Paper Pack which I matted on a piece of Sahara Sand with a Basic Black card base.  The sentiment is from the 'Crazy About You' stamps set, stamped in Black Momento ink on Sahara Sand and punched out using the Word Window Punch.

Mum's Love

I would like to share a card with you that I made using the Pillow Top background technique.  The background was created by sponging Crumb Cake ink on a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock in diagonal lines using a piece of acetate as a mask.  It is a quick technique and gives a great finish. This piece was matted onto Very Vanilla cardstock and then adhered to the Baked Brown Sugar card base.

The centre panel was created by using an image from the "Mum's Love" stamp set, stamped in Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride on Very Vanilla and matted onto a piece of Early Espresso, two small banners were attached to the top right of this centre panel and some Baked Brown Sugar Thick Bakers Twine added to the bottom.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was stamped in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla cardstock, punched out with the circle punch and matted onto an Early Espresso circle.

Gift Bag ....

Hi everyone, I would like to share a project that I made using this beautiful bouquet that was created by Cindee Wilkinson.  I found a video on Wendy Cranford's blog here on how to make the bouquet with a gold colour scheme.  I then made a gift bag from Kraft Cardstock and the Under the Tree Speciality DSP.  I had the Early Espresso sheets left from my Christmas projects and they went perfect with the colour scheme for my bag.  Someone special will be receiving this gift bag.

A Little Gift ....

The challenge this week at Can You Case It is clean and quick, a card that can be made under 10 minutes, 2 layers max plus the card base and with at least one embellishment.
CYCI #57

I had made this little gift box earlier today using the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits and the Irresistibly Yours DSP which I coloured with Blushing Bride ink.  I make my own soap, and have made some small cakes the size to fit in this little gift box, guess what colour it is.

I had a left over piece of the DSP so this challenge was perfect to make a simple and quick matching card to go with my little gift.

The Deconstructed Sketch #188

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you my card I have made for the challenge this week at The Deconstructed Sketch.
Deconstructed Sketch 188

I have gone with a colour scheme of Basic Black, Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.  I love the crisp finished look of this colour combination. The flower I made using the Flower Frenzy Bigz L Die and an Antique Brad for the centre.  The Irresistibly Yours DSP from the Sale-a-brations catalogue is great for sponging on colour to co-ordinate with whatever the colour scheme is of your card.

One for the Guys ...

I have gone with a theme for the "guys" with my card for the Retro Sketches challenge.

The stamp set that I have used is "Guy Greetings" and I have coloured the car with Stampin' Write Markers Baked Brown Sugar and Crumb Cake.  Colour scheme is Early Espresso, Kraft, Very Vanilla and Naturals White.   All edges were distressed with the Stampin' Distress Tool (I have been on a 'distressing bend' today) and inked with Baked Brown Sugar.

Shabby Chic

I just love the challenge this week at The Card Concept.  I have made my card in the Shabby Chic style and have taken inspiration from DT Narelle Farrugia, I just love what Narelle did with the posy and the threads from the Burlap Ribbon, the flower box and arrangement in the picture.

For my card I have use the stamp sets 'Hardwood', 'Dictionary' and 'Itty Bitty Banners' with a colour palette of Naturals White, Baked Brown Sugar, Blushing Bride and Soft Sky.  The DSP is from the Irresistibly Yours Designer Series Paper.  The embellishments are from the 'Artisan Embellishment Kit", Gold Sequin Trim, Pearls, Burlap Ribbon and Venetian Crochet Trim.

A Bit of Vintage Style

Hi everyone, I would like to share with you my card that I made for the challenge this week at Mojo Monday.
I have used a colour scheme of Basic Black, Kraft, Coastal Cabana and Very Vanilla, a colour scheme that I cased from Sandi McIver as the combination together are so striking.  The sentiment is from the 'Chalk Talk' stamp set and the background was made by stamping the 'Hardwood" stamp on Kraft Cardstock with Baked Brown Sugar ink.  I have inked all the edges with Baked Brown Sugar to give it a bit of a vintage feel.  The DSP is from the 2013-15 In-Colour Paper Stack.  The butterfly is made using the 'Butterflies' Thinlits Dies.
