A Happy Birthday with flowers

It is circles time at Pals Paper Arts this week with the challenge based on this sketch.

07-23 PPA 261

I used the English Garden Designer Series Paper on my card.  I have been trying to make better use of my DSP as I find that I buy the pack (as I just have to have it) and then do not use it.  So my challenge to myself is to use more of the beautiful papers that I have collecting.  They look much better made up into a card instead of sitting in my storage boxes.

Just adding a butterfly

Hi everyone, just sharing my card that I made for the challenge this week at Just Add Ink. The challenge is to add butterflies.

I have this terrific stash of Washi Tape (I am addicted to the stuff), so I created my background by using a mix of Washi Tape from the 2014-2016 In Colour, Everyday Chic and Bohemian Designer Washi Tape packs.  The colour scheme that I have gone with is Blackberry Bliss, Basic Black, Whisper White and Silver.

Designer's Choice

It is designer's choice for the challenge at Can You Case It.

CYCI#79

For my card I black embossed the floral image from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set on Tip Top Taupe cardstock.  I decided to use the painting with bleach technique on my card and I had no idea what the colour would bleach out to.  It came up a lovely pale yellow that matched perfectly with So Saffron, so my colour scheme was decided, So Saffron, Basic Black and Tip Top Taupe.

Frame It

The challenge at The Paper Players is a clean and simple challenge featuring "Frames"

The frame concept is terrific.  I ended up making two cards and had difficulty in deciding which one to enter.  I went with Card One.

Card one I used a colour scheme of Whisper White, Basic Black and Tip Top Taupe.  Stamps sets Awesomely Artistic, Watercolor Wings with the sentiment from And Many More.

My second card is made using the Flower Patch stamp set and matching dies.

Some Strawberries ...

Hi everyone, sharing my card for the Pals Paper Arts challenge the week based on this great sketch.

PPA260

I took inspiration from Michelle Gleeson's card for this challenge.  I loved the strawberry image on Michelle's card, so I cased this.  I water coloured the image with Real Red, Old Olive, Sahara Sand and Soft Suede.  The DSP on my card is from the Farmer's Market DSP paper pack.

Garden in Bloom ...

Hi everyone, just sharing my card for the sketch challenge this week at Mojo Monday.

I have used the English Garden DSP, Kraft Corrugated paper and Natural Expression Elements on my card.  The flower is from the Garden in Bloom stamp set.

Just Add Ink #271

Hi everyone, just sharing my card I made for the challenge this week at Just Add Ink.  The challenge is based on this terrific sketch, it was just perfect to use the Triple Banner Punch and the circle punches and dies.
JAI #271
I used the stamp set "Circles of Spring" for the sentiment which I punched out with the 1 3/8" circle punch.  I layered this onto a scalloped circle from the Baker's Box Thinlits, the edges of the circle are more jagged than scallop but they worked perfectly for the look that I was after.  I then layered this onto a scalloped circle made using the 1 3/4" scalloped circle punch and the final layer was a circle made using the 2" circle punch.  I liked the finished layered effect.  The banners were made using the Triple Banner Punch and the DSP is from the "Go Wild" Paper Stack.

Thanks with flowers...

The colour scheme and stamps sets for my card were inspired by the Week 11 One Sheet Wonder video by Ruth Trice. I have used the sketch challenge this week at Freshly Made Sketches for my card.
The stamp sets used are Flower Shop, Gorgeous Grunge and Kinda Eclectic with a colour scheme of Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Soft Sky and Crumb Cake.  I have used one of the wooden elements from the Expressions Natural Elements pack and finished with some silver rimmed pearls and silver metallic thread.

Pretty Petals

Have you wondered how many cards you can make from a 6"x6" 48 sheet paper stack? I did after I saw a post on YouTube using a 6"x6" 24 sheet paper stack, it set me to wondering what could be done with the Stampin' Up 6"x6" paper stack.

Using the "Pretty Petals" Designer Series paper stack I set about creating my cards.  It took me 8 days on and off (I work full time and had other commitments). I ended up with 60 cards which I will be donating to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.

I gathered together a series of sketches from Mojo Monday, Operation Write Home and the Deconstructed Sketch which I really liked and set about creating.  I made about 4 cards in each design, I even got down to using up tiny scraps.

These are some of my finished cards, there too many to post them all.

Skating By

The challenge this week at Can You Case It is black, white and one other colour.  I decided to use silver as my other colour.

CYCI#78
I did not colour the image as I wanted the black and white sketch like image for my card.  The stamp set that I used is "Skating By".  The background was made using the Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape.  The card was finished with some stars from the Metallic Sequins Assortment embellishments.

Christmas In July

It is Christmas time at Just Add Ink this week using this great inspirational picture.

JAI #270

I used the new Merry Moments DSP on my card along with the stamp set Sassy Salutations.  I had seen the star shape cut out like this a while ago on a birthday card and really liked the effect, so I put the idea way for using on my Christmas Cards.
