Turtle Fun - 6" x 6" One Sheet Wonder

Hi everyone, sharing 3 cards I made from one sheet of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

I wanted to use the Neutrals 6" x 6" Paper Assortment and decided to use a sheet of the Pecan Pie pattern paper.  The stamp set and die set of my choice was Playing in the Rain as I wanted to use the little Turtle on my cards.

Next decision was what colour to make my Turtles?  Some research was done as I really had no idea what colour Turtles were. Well, they come in all colours, so I decided to colour my little Turtles using Pecan Pie and Crushed Curry Stampin' Blends to match the pattern paper.  A touch of Bubble Bath was added on the flowers.

I kept the embellishments the same, using the Nested Essential Dies for the stitched rectangle and the Stylish Shapes Dies for the sentiment circle.  Some Gold Brushed Metallic Dots and a Basic White Bakers Twine bow were added to finish the cards.

These are the 3 cards I made.

Card 1

For this card I cut one of the pieces of 3 1/2" x 3" pattern paper on the long edge into 1/2", 3/4", 1" and 1 1/4" strips.  These were adhered on top of a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock 2 3/4" x 4 3/8" that had been adhered to a Basic White cardbase.

Card 2

For this card I used the 6" x 2 1/2" piece of patterned paper.  There will be a small overhand, so just trim this off.  The Crushed Currey cardstock strip was 3/8" wide.  

Card 3

For this card I embossed a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock and adhere this to the card front on an angle.  The other piece of 3 1/2" x 3" piece of patterned paper was adhered on top of this, also on an angle.  The embellishment Turtle piece was adhered on top of this.

Stash Busting Saturday - Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, it is time for another 'Stash Busting' show and tell.  

For this week's Stash Buster I have selected the Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  I took 3 sheets of the patterned paper and cut them into 3.8cm x 7.5cm pieces.  The Basic White cardstock mat is 8cm x 12.3cm.  You will get 32 cards using this cutting guide.

The sketch I have used is Mojo Monday #444.

For the sentiment panel I have used the new Unbounded Love and Unbounded Love Dies which are available in May when the new catalogue is launched.

Stash Busting Saturday - Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Stash Busting Saturday - Rock & Roll 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, it is time for another 'Stash Busting' show and tell.

For this week's Stash Buster I have selected the Rock & Roll 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  I actually made these cards from left over strips of patterned paper from a project that I created for next weekend's 'Anything Goes' Class.

I used the Make it Monday Sketch #1 to create these cards as it was a perfect sketch to use smaller pieces of patterned paper.  I made 8 of these cards using the Rock Star Stamp Set and matching Rock Star Dies.

The patterned paper is black and white, but you can add colour like I have by colouring the guitars with Stampin' Blends.  I used Real Red Dark & Light, Pumpkin Pie Dark & Light and Daffodil Delight Dark & Light Stampin' Blends.

I was inspired by a card created by Erica Cerwin for the record idea.  My record and cover is different in size, however I did get the idea from Erica's card.

Stash Busting Saturday - Rock & Roll 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Stash Busting Saturday - Let's Go Fishing 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper

Hi everyone, it is time for another 'Stash Busting' show and tell.

For this week's Stash Buster I have selected the Let's Go Fishing 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.  I cut the fish patterned paper at 12.3cm x 5.1cm and the blue wavy patterned paper at 12.3cm x 2.5cm.  The mats for these were cut 3mm larger.

I created the tag from the reverse side of the blue wavy patterned paper which I decorated with fishing lures, bobble and sinkers made using the Gone Fishing stamp set and the Gone Fishing dies.  The sentiment is from the Artistically Inked stamp set. The card base is Gray Granite.

I made 12 of these cards.

March Card Class - Project 2

March Card Class - Project 1

Hi everyone, sharing one of the projects from my March Card Class held yesterday.  It uses products from the Rock & Roll Suite.

To make this card you will need:

Real Red Cardstock 14.85cm x 10.5cm fold in half for the card base.

Basic White Cardstock 14.3cm x 10cm (for card inside)

Basic White Cardstock 13.3cm x 9cm (mat for card front)

Designer Series Paper 3.5cm x 12.8cm

Designer Series Paper 5cm x 12.8cm

Designer Series Paper 7.6cm x 7.6cm (for large Guitar Pic for sentiment die cut)

Basic White Cardstock for stamping the Guitar

Real Red Cardstock scrap for the stars

Silver Trim

I really love the colour combination of Red, Black and White.
